I am a fourth-generation redhead whose true passion is for story. Everyone has a story, and I want to hear, facilitate, and participate in as many as I can. Whether it’s photographing a wedding day, serving throughout childbirth, designing a brand logo, laughing and crying with friends, or just reading a fantastic book, I find stories to be the way I best interact with people.
As for slightly more boring and certainly less philosophical stuff about me, I hold a degree in English from Wheaton College (there’s that story stuff again) in Illinois and have obtained my certification as a birth doula through DONA International. After working in private and public high schools for several years, I became an in-home childcare provider for several families while doing wedding and portrait photography on the weekends. Over the years I’ve done freelance editing for authors and bloggers as well. I currently channel my creative energies into being the Creative Director of The Glorious Table as well as into doing WordPress-based website design and styling. My day job, though, is corralling my wild and crazy 4-year-old, Eli, and supporting my husband Ryan in the science-y stuff he does.
